Cozy Chicken House
Seth & my brother Tony made the chicken house nice and cozy. They insulated it for those cold Montana nights. They covered the walls with nice white board and the floor with a cool looking eight's linoleum. They made nice, big nesting boxes and cool roost. I think the chickens are very happy in the new house.
Tollefson Day
We made up our own holiday. It is the first Saturday in May. Today was our 3rd annual Tollefson Day. The kids save cans all year. Then on Tollefson Day we bring them to the recycling plant and cash them in. The kids take the money they earned and they buy themselves something. It is usually only four or five dollars but they have fun with it. Then we went to lunch. After that we went to the Mall to look at Abby's art work that was on display. It was nice to spend the day having some fun with the kids.
Chickens?
Ok, I got chickens. Yes, they are dirty. But they are cute. And I want my own eggs. From what people say, they are good pets, too.
